To: The Honorable Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the United States House of Representatives:
I am writing to express my deep concern over the rise of antisemitism in the United States.
We deplore the act of violent antisemitism that killed one individual and wounded many others at the Chabad synagogue in Poway, California.
I find this to be especially disturbing, as I believe the Bible, passed on to us by our Jewish spiritual forebears, is the bedrock of the values we cherish.
Antisemitism is a unique hatred that strikes at the very core of our belief that the Jewish people were chosen by God to be a blessing to all nations.
While supportive of all efforts to minimize racism in general, we are asking you to draft and pass a new resolution that goes beyond House Resolution 183 and focuses on the tragedy of antisemitism. We are calling upon you and other members of Congress to recognize antisemitism as a specific form of hatred, with a unique history that affects us all.
The climate needs to change in our country—antisemitism must be stopped!
Madam Speaker, please OPPOSE ANTISEMITISM NOW! The Jewish people need your help—today.
