Representatives of 70 countries are gathering in Paris today, Sunday, January 15th, to reaffirm recent actions taken by the United Nations regarding Israel and the Palestinians. There are three matters this group will address:
- An appeal will be made to both Israel and the leaders of the Palestinian Authority to pursue a Two State Solution as “the only way” to ensure peace in the region.
- To affirm that the international community “will not recognize” changes to Israel’s pre-1967 lines without agreement by both sides, according to Ynetnews – one of Israel’s major news source.
- To ask President-elect Trump to refrain from recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and to not move the US Embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv.
Would you join followers of the Jewish Messiah, Jesus throughout the world in praying for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6)? Pray that those among the representatives who are concerned with the security, safety and destiny of the Jewish people living in Israel will not be silenced.
